Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 kgs njandu(crab) (cleaned and washed)


  • 4 nos tomato (medium sized)


  • 1 nos ginger piece


  • 5 nos garlic


  • 2 nos onions(medium sized)


  • 3 tsp chilly powder


  • 2 tsp coriander powder


  • 3/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp crushed black pepper


  • 1 tsp fennel


  • 1 cups coconut oil


  • 1 tsp salt some to taste


  • 1 sprig curry leaves

Directions

  • Heat oil in a pan and saute it with ginger,garlic and green chillies.
  • Add chopped onions and again saute this mix well.
  • Add turmeric powder and salt.When heated add coriander powder too.
  • When coriander powder gets heaten up add coriander powder and vice versa chilly powder too.
  • Add tomatoes when the natural aroma has changed and saute the mix well.
  • Pour little water and stir the mix well.Bring to boil.
  • Add crabs when it starts to boil,and while boiling add peppercorns and fennels.
  • Cook under lid for some time.Stir occassionaly.
  • Add coconut oil when the gravy thickens.
  • Switch off flame when it becomes dry.
  • Add some more fresh coconut oil and its ready to rock
  • Yummy Crab dry Fry is ready
